Introduction:
Our Commitment to Holistic Education
At Oasis School, our guiding principle is embodied in our motto: Learning for Life. We believe that education should extend beyond the classroom. We are therefore committed to nurturing students who are not only academically excellent but also socially responsible, creative, and confident individuals. Through a rich curriculum, engaging co-curricular activities, and fascinating field trips, we prepare our students for a lifetime of learning, growth and success.
Field Trips:
Learning Beyond the Classroom
We recognize that real-world experiences are essential to a well-rounded education. As a result, we carefully plan our field trips to complement classroom learning, ignite curiosity, and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
Every trip aligns with our curriculum objectives, ensuring that our students not only enjoy the adventure but also acquire valuable educational experiences.
These excursions have helped our students to appreciate their environment, develop teamwork, and gain insights from professionals that reinforce their academic learning.
Our Curriculum:
A Pathway to Excellence
At Oasis School, we offer a rigorous and well-rounded curriculum that meets international standards. Our curriculum is designed to challenge and inspire a lifelong passion for learning. Our hybrid approach blends the National Curriculum with the Cambridge framework, ensuring students receive a globally competitive education.
Curriculum Structure:
- Pre-school: Montessori system.
- Primary Department (Year 1-6): Cambridge framework for English, Mathematics, and Science, complemented by the Ghana Education Service (GES) curriculum for the other subjects.
- Junior High School: GES curriculum.
- Embedded programs: Abacus, Coding, and Robotics (Year 1-6) to develop essential STEM skills
To further enhance our students’ STEM skills, we assign individual project work to students each year. This project-based learning approach encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, innovation, research and analytical skills
By working on these projects, students gain deeper understanding of STEM concepts, preparing them for success in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Our teaching methods encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation, ensuring that students are well-prepared for future academic and career success.
Primary School
Welcome to our primary school. Our primary department introduces pre-schoolers into the mainstream.
Our primary school is activity -based because we believe children learn better when having fun. Our mode of instruction is Interactive Learning.
We offer both the GES and Cambridge curricula. For Mathematics, English Language and Science, the Cambridge curriculum is used to ensure that we build a community of critical thinkers and explorers.
We have well- trained teachers who deliver lessons that encourage learners to express their opinions about the topic to enhance their understanding.
